Arthur Neal joins NAEGA as Industry Relations Consultant 

NAEGA is pleased to announce that Arthur L. Neal, Jr is joining NAEGA as Industry Relations Consultant. 

Arthur is President and CEO of ANspired Consulting, a Washington, D.C.-based firm helping agribusinesses, associations, and institutions navigate change through strategy development, coalition building, stakeholder representation, and leadership advisory services. He brings over 30 years of senior executive leadership from the USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service, where he led the nation's grain, rice, and pulses quality inspection system, strengthened local and regional food systems, launched the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard, and helped develop the USDA National Organic Standards.  

Arthur holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from Southern University A&M College (Baton Rouge, LA) and a master's from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, AR), with additional study in international marketing at the Scottish Agricultural College (Aberdeen, Scotland). 

In his role as Industry Relations Consultant, Arthur will manage NAEGA’s relationships between domestic industry, exporters, public and private stakeholders, global organizations, and members. He will lead NAEGA’s work with the Federal Grain Inspection Services and other agencies in the grain export marketing system, including FGIS workshops with members. The role is envisioned to spearhead NAEGA’s work on developing industry solutions to export policy issues through coordination with members and broader stakeholders. 

Augusto Bassanini, Chairman of the NAEGA Board of Directors, welcomed Neal to NAEGA, stating: “Arthur’s engagement with NAEGA gives us a new focal point for domestic trade policy issues. Arthur will crystallize NAEGA’s leadership on industry coordination to address issues we face beyond contracts. Our previous work with Arthur on FGIS staffing and contingency solutions assures me that we are in a great position to make significant strides forward in this area.”
