Senior Advisor Recognition

NAEGA Senior Advisors serve the organization and the industry through sharing their in-depth knowledge of contracting and arbitration. The outstanding contribution over a number of years of three advisors was recognized at NAEGA's 2026 Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.

NAEGA Service Recognition

NAEGA Service Recognition Awards are presented in appreciation for exemplary service to the association and the industry. NAEGA officers and staff consult to determine if the award will be presented in a given year.

The Chairman’s Award

NAEGA and the National Grain and Feed Association jointly present the Chairman’s Award in recognition of outstanding service to both organizations.

This award has been given just once to NAEGA Senior Advisor William J. “Jerry” Cotter.

2009 – William J. “Jerry” Cotter

Jerry served as the first chairman of the NGFA-NAEGA Joint Agro-terrorism/Facility Security Committee, and was involved extensively in the development and maintenance of the NGFA-NAEGA Alternative Security Plan for port facilities.

Mr. Cotter, who has been active in both organizations for the past 20 years, served as a member of NAEGA’s Strikes, Riots, Lockouts & Embargos Committee and several other committees for NGFA and NAEGA.
