NAEGA stands for a rules-based international trading system that enables agricultural commodities to flow from areas of abundance to areas of need efficiently and predictably. NAEGA supports risk- and science-based phytosanitary import policies, including maximum residue levels, that are aligned with international standards. NAEGA advocates for transparent, notified regulations in accordance with the WTO Agreements on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures and on Technical Barriers to Trade.
